Weglarz Company Co-President Mark Weglarz
Based in Chicago, Mark Weglarz joined Orland Park’s Weglarz Company in 1999 and continues to drive operations at the commercial real estate development and investment firm in his position as co-president. In this role, he is responsible for the oversight of all projects throughout the Chicagoland metropolitan area, with specific duties ranging from budgeting all construction phases to securing necessary funding. Mark Weglarz also manages acquiring tenants and negotiating leases.
Under the leadership of Mark Weglarz, the company’s hotels have regularly ranked among the top 5 percent of hotel brands based on guest satisfaction. A few of his past positions include founder and manager of MLW Investments, LLC, and executive chairman and board member with FarmedHere in Bedford Park.
Mr. Weglarz studied finance as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia. Prior to graduating with his bachelor of science in 1989, he served as co-captain of the varsity men’s rowing team, winners of the 1989 Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championship. Mark Weglarz was named Most Valuable Player on the team and continues to enjoying rowing and sailing, as well as additional outdoor activities like hiking.
